Residents of the GCC can now apply for eVisa online

According to the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, a new ministerial degree has been issued that would allow for speedier entry into the nation. According to the new legislation, all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) residents can apply for an eVisa through Saudi’s web portal.

Holders of business and tourist visas from the United Kingdom, the United States, or any other Schengen Agreement country will continue to have a visa on arrival as long as they have used it at least once.

Furthermore, the directive eliminates the obligation for tourists to visit Saudi Arabia’s embassy before entering, making the procedure easier for potential visitors.

This is a key step in achieving our ambitious Vision 2030 goals of developing a sustainable, resilient, and competitive tourist economy while also delivering for our people.

Since its introduction in 2019, over 1 million eVisas have been granted.
