According to reports, reduction in taxi fares in Sharjah and Ajman is implemented due to the decrease of fuel charges. Sharjahâs minimum fair drop by AED 1, while in Ajman, the fare has been decreased by six percent.
Sharjah Road and Transport Authority (SRTA) said, that the taxi meter will start at AED4 between 8 in the morning until 10 in the evening, with the minimum fare of AED14.5. While from 10pm -6am, the meter will start at AED6, with a minimum fare of AED16.5, inclusive of value-added tax.
