Zayed Foundation Distributes 20,000 Winter Kits to 13 Countries as Part of ‘Winter Bag’ Program

On February 7, 2024, the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation initiated its “Winter Bag” program by dispatching 20,000 winter kits to 13 countries. The effort, led by Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, the Foundation’s Director-General, aims to alleviate the winter challenges faced by low-income families worldwide. The countries benefiting from this program include Jordan, Morocco, Egypt, Iraq, Pakistan, Chad, Ethiopia, Kosovo, Albania, Nepal, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Dr. Al Falahi emphasized the Foundation’s commitment to serving underprivileged communities globally, highlighting how the “Winter Bag” initiative embodies the compassionate legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The Foundation’s dedication to charitable giving aligns with their broader mission to support disadvantaged communities, following the social responsibility principles, the directives of the UAE’s leadership, and the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

Abdulaziz Al Zaidi, the Director of Projects and Programmes, elaborated on the broader scope of the Foundation’s initiatives. These include providing school bags, educational support, medical assistance, food aid, and various humanitarian endeavors tailored to assist disadvantaged individuals globally. The “Winter Bag” program is a significant component of these efforts, reflecting the Foundation’s holistic approach to addressing the diverse needs of vulnerable populations.
