500 volunteers pack 7,000 school essentials for low-income families in Dubai

Around 500 volunteers gathered on World Humanitarian Day at the Jafza One Convention Centre at DP World, Jebel Ali, to participate in a ‘Back to School’ project organised by Dubai Cares in collaboration with DP World.

The programme aims to create 7,000 school supplies packs for low-income families in Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Ajman. Volunteers meticulously arranged thirteen educational things into boxes, including pens, pencils, markers, notebooks, school bags, and pouches.

These boxes, which were divided into boys’ and girls’ categories, were quality-checked to ensure that each child received things of the best quality. In the coming week, charitable organisations will distribute the discreetly branded boxes to specified beneficiaries.

Despite the fact that just 100 volunteers were needed, the tremendous response demonstrated the community’s commitment to humanitarian activities. Volunteers emphasised their gratitude and enthusiasm for giving back, emphasising the delight of assisting those in need.
