Air India set to introduce Airbus A350 for domestic flights, marking milestone in India’s aviation

Air India is set to launch commercial service for its Airbus A350, the first of its kind in India, starting January 22, 2024. The state-of-the-art A350 will initially be deployed on domestic routes connecting major cities, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.

Passengers can book flights to experience the A350’s comfort and cutting-edge technology. The schedule includes multiple routes for passengers to explore the new aircraft’s features.

The A350-900, ordered as part of Air India’s transformation journey, boasts a three-class cabin configuration with 316 seats, featuring private Business suites, Premium Economy, and Economy seats. The introduction aligns with the airline’s commitment to sustainability, with the A350 designed to be 20% more fuel-efficient.

Air India aims to become a world-class airline with ongoing transformations, including a new global brand identity and uniforms designed by Manish Malhotra.
