The 19th edition of the Dubai International Wood and Woodworking Machinery Exhibition is set to commence on Tuesday, 7 March, at the Dubai World Trade Centre to showcase the most innovative products, technologies, production scenarios, and large-scale machineries to wood and woodworking industry key players as well as to participating representatives of government agencies from the region.
The Dubai WoodShow, the only dedicated trade platform for wood and woodworking machinery industry in MENA, brings together approximately 10,000 visitors and 400 exhibitors from more than 60 different countries around the world during its three-day run. It offers a dynamic venue for local and international suppliers, manufacturers, and machinery companies to exchange expertise, knowledge, and experiences to support collaborative opportunities and attract investments for the further growth of the wood and woodworking industry.
The exhibition will be hosting a large group of new and regular exhibitors who will display their state-of-the-art wood and woodworking products and specialized machines such as panel saws, grooving tools, and other high-quality cutting materials, in a bid to help manufacturers keep pace with the newest developments in the industry through holding a conference, B2B meetings/matchmaking, seminars, and networking sessions.
The main conference will gather together industry experts, stakeholders, senior government officials and practitioners from the wood sector who will share their views, experiences, and insights on the latest trends in the local, regional, and global markets as well as discuss various topics including protection and preservation of wood against biodegradation, digitalization in the wood industry, key trends of the timber production and timber market, opportunities and challenges for international trade, and the logistical impact of import and export on the distribution of wood products.
The second day of the exhibition will witness the announcement of winners of the WoodShow Innovation & Excellence Awards, organized on the sidelines of the exhibition and aims to recognize and promote the outstanding innovations, craftsmanship and achievements in the wood and woodworking machinery sectors as well as to encourage positive competition within the industry.
The Awards is based on the best international standards of excellence and innovation in the sector and entries will be subject to a completely unbiased and transparent process of selection, analysis and voting by an external and independent team of leading industry experts. There will be two main categories – Corporate Awards and Individual Awards.
Corporate Awards includes the Innovative Wood Product Award, the Innovative Woodworking Technology Award, and the CSR Commitment Award. Meanwhile, Individual Awards consists of the Woman of the Year Award, the Young Entrepreneur Award, and the Best Stand Design.
