According to the Khaleej Times, students from Dubai who were supposed to return to the UAE tonight have been stranded in Ukraine after Russian soldiers launched an offensive on the Eastern European country.
Students from UAE usually go for higher education in Ukraine especially those who want to pursue medical studies.
According to the Khaleej Times, three UAE airlines, flydubai, Air Arabia, and Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, have temporarily halted flights to Ukraine.
The suspension was in effect until further notice, according to Air Arabia, while FlyDubai confirmed today’s flights had been canceled.
Wizz Air flights in the nation have been temporarily halted.
The Russian military launched missiles at several Ukrainian cities on Thursday after President Vladimir Putin authorized a special operation in eastern Ukraine.
