PCR tests are required in Abu Dhabi for attending Christmas masses

Attending Christmas masses in Abu Dhabi will require parishioners to present a mandatory PCR test result due to the emerging cases of coronavirus in UAE.

According to the Facebook post of St. Joseph’s Cathedral Abu Dhabi, “According to government regulations, Green Pass with 96 hour PCR is required to attend Christmas Masses. Entrance only with Emirates ID or passport for visitors.”

“No booking is required to attend any Christmas Mass. Seating at all Masses is on a first-come, first-served basis,” church authorities added.

A maximum of one Mass is allowed per person on either 24th or 25th, in order to give people the opportunity to attend.

All public and private events held in Abu Dhabi will follow Covid-19 safety precautions including face masks, social distancing, and periodic sanitizing of venues.
