The Islamic New Year will be celebrated on Saturday, July 30 with a paid holiday for all public and private sector employees.
According to the Municipality of Sharjah, free parking will be available on Muharram 1 on the occasion of Hijri New Year.
Fridays and official holidays are excluded from the parking zones that are subject to fees throughout the week. Under the parking signs, blue guiding panels identify seven-day paid parking zones.
To mark the occasion, all UAE public and private sector employees will receive a paid holiday on July 30.
