UAE President orders $100 million of help to Turkey and Syria

In response to the massive earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed sent $100 million to assist the affected countries.

According to Wam, Sheikh Mohamed directed that $50 million be sent to the people of Turkey, and another $50 million be sent to the people of Syria.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, on the other hand. The Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has sent AED50 million from the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives to assist Syrians affected by the tragedy.

The UAE is sending seven aid flights to Turkey and Syria to assist with search and rescue operations, two of which will land in Damascus.

More than 5,000 people have died as a result of Monday’s earthquake, which caused widespread devastation in neighboring countries.

Thousands of buildings have been destroyed, and many people are believed to be trapped beneath the rubble.
