27 people are killed and dozens injured in Israeli strike on UN school in Gaza

In an Israeli strike on a United Nations school in Gaza’s Jabalia, a Palestinian doctor reported at least 27 people dead and 93 injured.

The school was serving as a shelter for thousands of displaced Palestinians from the largest refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. Hamas later stated that around 30 people were killed in the attack on the UNRWA-affiliated school.

The strike occurred just hours before a four-day ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was set to begin, initially scheduled for Thursday morning but delayed by one day.

There has been no immediate comment from the Israeli military on the incident.
