Dubai anticipates inauguration of floating Mosque by 2024

Dubai has announced plans for a groundbreaking floating mosque on the Dubai Canal, set to be completed by 2024.

It will be the world’s first mosque of its kind, featuring three floors, with the third floor submerged as a prayer hall for 50 to 75 worshippers.

The other two floors will host Islamic lectures and workshops. The mosque, with an estimated budget of AED55 million, is part of Dubai’s initiative to boost religious tourism. Once open, it will welcome visitors of all faiths, with a modest dress code and decorum in line with religious customs.

Dubai continues to unveil impressive architectural projects, including the Palm Jebel Ali and the expansion of Al Maktoum International Airport. Keep an eye out for other ventures like The World Islands, The Dubai Islands, and the upcoming inauguration of One Za’abeel.
