Unstable weather in UAE prompts schools to switch to virtual learning

Due to heavy rains and unstable weather across all seven Emirates, many schools in Dubai have switched to online learning. Parents received emails from school heads informing them of the change, citing safety concerns due to rapidly worsening weather conditions.

Some parents frantically made arrangements to keep their children home, while others were relieved that schools had gone online. Authorities in Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah directed schools to shift to distance learning in anticipation of the foul weather.

The National Centre of Meteorology reported heavy downpour and issued code orange and yellow alerts for hazardous weather conditions.
